Wedding Photographer Gloucestershire - latest updates
As a wedding photographer base in Gloucestershire, I'm incredibly lucky to work in some beautiful locations with some beautiful couples! I must have visited nearly all of the Gloucestershire wedding venues on offer as a prospective bride, and the choice was a tough one. There are some superb places out there and I'm very proud to have experienced many as the chosen wedding photographer. Gloucestershire has been my home city since birth and I'm keen to promote the beauty and surrounding areas, especially for weddings.
This brief diary gives an insight to what I've been up to as a wedding photographer, Gloucestershire and will hopefully provide some handy advice along the way. You can also read our other wedding photography blogs, or find out more about how to book us as your wedding photographer. Gloucestershire based or not, we're happy to travel if available, so do get in touch!
Gearing up for another busy season as a Gloucestershire wedding photographer
Last year was one of our busiest and most exciting yet, from photographing weddings at lovely Manor Houses including Charringworth Manor and Manor By The Lake, to the delightful Calcot Manor and an amazing winter wedding at Berkeley Castle - all of which were completely different, beautiful, amazing and creatively delightful to any wedding photographer.
We've been booking weddings thick and fast for this year and next and have had some lovely feedback along the way from new customers about reasons for choosing us as their wedding photographer. Gloucestershire has it's fair share of wedding photographers, but at the start of this year I took the opportunity to get feedback directly from last year's clients, which you can read more about on the reviews page.
We're also really pleased that enquiries keep coming from recommendations from our past wedding photography customers, which is always lovely, and so many nice comments about our approach on the day - which you can read in our reviews. It's so important to choose your suppliers carefully, but of all of them, remember your wedding photographer is one of the few that will be with you all day. Read our blog on tips for choosing your ideal wedding photographer.
Whilst I've had a bit of a breather over the winter I've also taken the opportunity to upgrade and update the website and share lots of new weddings and information with you. On request, I'm also adding more to my personal gallery of other very lovely things I love to photograph, which leads me to...
Now offering pregnancy and maternity bump shoots
By popular demand! A natural continuation from weddings, I'm really excited to now be offering pregnancy and maternity bump shoots. Just head over to the new page to find out more about how this works, the best time to have it done and my approach. Having been pregnant myself I've learnt from experience and can hopefully make this a joyful experience for any Mum to be (plus partner, children and so on - if desired!). Get in touch to find out more regarding availability and my recommendations on locations for bump shoots.
Whenever your wedding, it's well worth being prepared
You can see from the selection of wedding photos in our gallery that lots of our couples - whatever the season - have been lucky enough to get beautiful weather - but it's the one thing you can't control or plan for.
That said, it's also really important to have a plan b about your wedding photography so you can relax and not have to worry about it, so make sure you have a conversation about this with us or your chosen wedding photographer. Gloucestershire venues also often boast some beautiful indoor features, just keep an eye out for natural light sources wherever possible and you'll still get some great shots.
Fortunately I love being a Gloucester wedding photographer and the weather is just part of the fun. It's the one thing completely out of the bride and groom's control - so don't worry about it, just make sure you choose a wedding photographer that can show you examples of great wedding photography in a range of weather conditions.
Exhibiting - The Cheltenham Bride and Groom Show, Cheltenham Town Hall, 3 September 2017
We're super excited that we've just signed up to exhibit at The Cheltenham Bride and Groom Show at the Town Hall on 3 September 2017. It'll be our first time at this event but have heard it's a great show with a really wide selection of local suppliers, as well as fashion shows and more. If you're planning your 2018/2019 wedding (or beyond!) then definitely worth checking out and do pop over and say hi. That said, we are booking fast for 2018 wedding photography, so well worth getting in touch before then to check our availability - wedding photographers are usually one of the earliest wedding suppliers to be booked once couples have found their venue, though of course we'd still love to see you there.
